After extensive discussions with the client we reviewed all of their current by-hand process and various folders of documents and spreadsheets. We then created a development checklist to automate over 90% of the teacher/director workflow.
We started with a custom web application with specific functions for School Directors, Teachers & Parents. Our parent dashboard allows parents to see school announcements, notices from teachers and download documents. Parents can view a journal of their child including meals, bathroom and play activities with images.
We then automated class attendance, curriculums and daily and weekly reports.
After a successful school of the parent portal we launched dedicated mobile apps for parents with push notifications of child activity, messaging with teachers and absent requests.
